Getting Started with Voidless: Your First AI Game Asset
A beginner-friendly walkthrough of Voidless.dev — create an account, understand credits, and generate your first game-ready sprite in minutes.
Voidless.dev is an all-in-one studio for making game assets with AI — pixel art, characters, animations, sound effects, music, video, 3D models and more, all in one place. This guide gets you from sign-up to your first finished asset.
Create your account
Head to the sign-up page and register with email, Google or Discord. A free account is enough to explore every generator and produce real, usable assets. Once you're in, you'll land on the dashboard where your generated assets are saved to your library.
How credits work
Generations cost credits. Different models cost different amounts — a fast pixel-art model is cheap, while a high-end image or video model costs more. Your plan tops up credits, and each generation shows its cost before you commit, so there are no surprises. If you're just experimenting, stick to the lower-cost models until you dial in your prompt.
Generate your first sprite
- Open the Image / Pixel Art generator from the main navigation.
- Type a short, concrete prompt — for example, "a small green slime enemy, top down, pixel art".
- Pick a model and a size (16×16 or 32×32 is great for classic pixel art).
- Press Generate. In a few seconds you'll get a result you can regenerate, refine, or download.
Save, organize and reuse
Every asset lands in your library, where you can rename it, sort it into folders, and re-open it later. Assets you keep can be fed into other tools — turn a character into an animation, extract its parts, or drop it into the game engine.
Where to go next
Once your first sprite looks right, the natural next steps are learning to write better prompts, choosing the right resolution, and building a full sprite sheet from a single character. Each of those has its own guide in this tutorials hub.
The key idea: Voidless is a pipeline, not a single button. Generate art, refine it, animate it, add sound, and assemble it into a game — all without leaving the site.
